After a disappointing loss last Friday night at Oak Hill the Northfield girls basketball team bounced back Wednesday, throttling Eastbrook 65-38.
The Lady Norse jumped out of the gate, starting the game on an 11-0 run with hot shooting from Ariel Dale, Kelsie Thomson and Jacklyn Peas. Leading 16-3 after a bucket from Thomson and a three from Dale, Melanie Beery would score off an offensive rebound, followed by a Dale bucket to lead 20-5 after one.
The Norse would not slow down to start the second quarter, getting put back buckets from Thomson and Ally Keaffaber before a Hope Unger three made it 27-5. Up 29-11 Dale would drain her second and third bombs of the game, then get a bucket from Thomson off a steal to lead at the half 37-13.
Dale and Thomson would continue to dominate to start the third quarter as the Nose built their lead to 42-15. At 42-19 Abbey Ross got in on the long ball parade, draining a three as the Norse got buckets from Peas and Thomson down the stretch to lead 49-25 with a quarter to go.
The Norse would go to Peas and Keaffaber early in the fourth and with the lead at 54-32 Keaffaber and Dale would hit, followed by two buckets from Peas to lead 62-32 before winning the game 65-38.

The Northfield junior varsity defeated astbrook 30-26.
