The Southwood high octane offense continued their ways Friday as they fell behind 7-0 before scoring 35 straight points in route to a 49-21 win at Oak Hill.
Oak Hill would strike first on a 60yd pass play to take a 7-0 lead, but it didn’t take long for the Knights to respond when Gabe Lloyd broke loose for a 64yd scoring run to make it 7-7 after the Parker Mays kick. Carson Blair would then hook up with Matt Nose for their first of six passing touchdowns as the Knights led 13-7 after one.
The first score of the second quarter was Blair to Nose for 80yds as the lead grew to 21-7 after a two point conversion. The tandem would hook up again before the half for 42yds as the Knights led 28-7 at the half.
Not wasting any time Blair and Nose would kook up from 29yds out early in the third to make it 35-7 before the Eagles got on the board again on a 61yd passing play to make it 35-14. Sounding like a broken record, Blair would find Nose again from 47yds out to end the scoring in the third quarter with Southwood leading 42-14.
Not being able to be stopped Blair and Nose said why not. The tandem connected for their sixth touchdown to start the fourth as the lead grew to 49-14 before allowing the Eagles one more score for the 49-21 final.
