Spartan Shorts: A junior tandem consisting of midfielder/forward Maranda Birmingham(Kouts, Ind.) and goalkeeper Cami Holford (Valparaiso, Ind.) finds itself among the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference’s early season statistical top five. Birmingham’s 20 shot attempts are second most, while Holford’s 23 saves rank fourth … Digging deeper into the squad’s numbers through five matches, junior defender/midfielder Isabella Zoog(Brownsburg, Ind.) and senior midfielder/forward Kelsey Ropp (Freeland, Mich.) are tied for first in goals scored (one) and points (two).
