Wabash Takes Double Header Over Madison Grant

The Wabash girls and boys basketball teams played host to Madison Grant Saturday, taking both games of the double header. The girls won game one 65-46 with the boys taking the night cap 80-61.

In the girls game Wabash would trail 13-11 after the first quarter before finding their mojo on both ends of the court in the second. The Lady Apaches would go off for 21 points while holding the Argylls to just 5 and led 32-18 at the half.

Wabash would continue to build on their lead in the third, winning the quarter 17-11 before going on to the 65-46 win.

After an impressive performance against Oak Hill Wednesday the Wabash boys continued to shine Saturday against Madison Grant. The Apaches would put 8 players in the scoring column including 3 in double figures.

The game was up tempo with each team shooting lights out in the first with the score 18-18 after the first stop. The Apaches would keep the offensive show going in the second while turning up the defense a notch, winning the quarter 19-8 to lead 37-26 at the half.

Madison Grant would come back to take the third quarter 20-18 before Wabash went wild in the fourth, scoring 25 points in route to the 80-61 win.

The Wabash girls junior varsity defeated Madison Grant 41-21.

Mariah Wyatt had 17 pts to pace the Lady Apaches.

The Wabash boys junior varsity defeated the Argylls 64-44.
