Norse Put Five In Double Figures At Southern Wells

The Northfield boys basketball team traveled to Southern Wells Tuesday, building a comfortable lead after three quarters before hanging on for a 70-67 win.

The Norse had control of the game right from the start, leading 19-10 after the first quarter and 35-23 at the half. Northfield would extend their lead in the third, winning the quarter 23-18 for a 58-41 before being out scored 26-12 in the fourth.

All five starters ended with double digit scoring as the Norse caught fire from outside shooting 55% from 3-point range on the night. Logan Peas led the team in scoring with 18 points shooting 5-6 from 3-point range himself. Joe Halderman was close behind with 17 points and also adding 8 rebounds. Kyle Reed ended the night with another double-double stat line of 12 points and 15 rebounds, Jared Peas and Clayton Tomlinson dished out 5 assists

The Northfield junior varsity fell to Southern Wells 48-19.
