Knights Hold Off Squires

The Manchester boys basketball team took the trip to Southwood Friday to play the night cap of a girl/boy double header and battled the favored Knights the entire night before falling to Southwood 78-66.

Southwood got off to a great start, leading 22-12 after the first quarter before the Squires closed the gap before the half. Manchester out scored Southwood 20-15 in the second as the Knights led 37-32 at the half.

The Knights would win the third 13-11 before an up tempo fourth excited the crowd. Carson Blair went off for 16 points in the quarter and when the dust settled the Knights won the quarter 28-23 and the game 78-66.
