Apaches Fall In Sectional Final

The Wabash boys tennis team fell 4-1 to Peru in the sectional final Saturday.

The Wabash boys tennis team opened sectional play with a 4-1 win over Maconaquah Thursday.

Bethany Christian Wins Wabash Tennis Invite

The Wabash boys tennis team went 1-2 in their own invitational Saturday to finish in third place.

The Apaches defeated Eastern 4-1 before falling to Bethany Christian 2-3 and Taylor 2-3. Bethany Christian won the invite.

Wabash Tennis Wins Again

The Wabash boys tennis team raised their season record to 12-1 Thursday with a 4-1 win over Blackford.

Wabash celebrated senior night with a victory and all five seniors played varsity. The Apaches gave up just 4 games the entire match.

Wabash Tennis Clinches TRC

The Wabash tennis team clinched the TRC Wednesday with a 5-0 win over Whitko.

Wabash finished 4-0 in conference play and goes to 11-1 for the year. This is the fifth straight year the Wabash boys have won the conference.

Apache Tennis Wins Knox Invite

The Wabash boys tennis team placed first in the Knox Invitational tennis tournament Saturday.  This was an eight team tournament by position.  Wabash won the #1 & #2 singles position and the #2 doubles position.  Other schools participating were Fremont, Griffith, Hobart, Knox, Northwestern, Tippecanoe Valley and Whitko.  Wabash totaled 49 points, with Fremont scoring 33 points for second place and Knox scoring 24 for third place.  Individual results are below.

Manchester Tennis Bounces Back Against Whitko

The Manchester boys tennis team bounced back after two straight defeats to take care of Whitko Thursday 4-1.

Connor Eichenauer lost at #1 singles 5-7, 5-7

Max Karg won at #2 singles 6-4, 6-1

Brayton Spann won at #3 singles 6-2, 6-1

Riley Woods & Dalton Day won at #1 doubles 6-1, 6-0

Morgan Metzger & Noah Cain won at #2 doubles 6-1, 6-2

The junior varsity won their match 2-0.

Branden Scott won at #1 singles 8-1.

Matthew Pegg won at #2 singles 8-2

Manchester Tennis Out Gunned

The Manchester boys tennis team was out gunned by a strong Dekalb squad Wednesday, falling to the Barons 0-5.

Connor Eichenauer lost at #1 singles 0-6, 3-6

Max Karg lost at #2 singles 5-7, 4-6

Brayton Spann lost at #3 singles 0-6, 0-6

Riley Woods & Dalton Day lost at #1 doubles 2-6, 2-6

Morgan Metzger & Noah Cain lost at #2 doubles 4-6, 6-7 (4-7)

Winning in the junior varsity match was Trent Bechtold & Matthew Pegg at #1 doubles.
