The Metro Rage Boy’s soccer team opened their season with a 5-1 win against Lakeland Christian on Thursday night. Zach Hobson (Fr SHS) opened the scoring for the season on an assist from Trent Meyer (Jr NHS). The Rage gave up a goal with under two minutes left in the half, but Chad Glasscock (Jr NHS) scored a header on a perfectly placed corner kick by Houston Miller (Jr NHS) with 25 seconds left in the first half. Glasscock connected again with a header on a corner kick by Miller early in the second half. Glasscock set up Miller for the fourth goal of the game and Colton Dawes closed out the scoring on a breakaway goal with under 5 minutes left in the game. Goalkeeper Eric Foltz (Jr NHS) had two saves in goal and Cody Gibson (Jr NHS) added four saves of his own when he replaced Foltz late in the game.
