Metro Rage Boys Win

The Metro Rage Boys won a hotly contested game against Grant County United last night 2-1 at the Morrett Sports Complex. Chad Glasscock (Jr NHS) opened the scoring on a clearance out of the back by Jonathan VanDuyne (So NHS) to give the Rage a 1-0 lead at halftime. In the second half Grant Keaffaber (Jr SHS) crossed a ball into the box that Houston Miller (Jr NHS) drove home to complete the scoring. Goalkeeper Eric Foltz (Jr NHS) only had to make one save in goal during the game due to the stellar defensive play of VanDuyne, Cody Gibson (Jr NHS),Ethan Stouffer (Jr NHS) and Nick Striker (Jr SHS). Austin Vrooman (Sr NHS) and Kyle Merriman (Sr WHS) also contributed defensively to Foltz’s “clean sheet” for the night.

The Rage JV team defeated Grant County United by a score of 5-1. Colton Dawes (Fr SHS) scored twice, while Zach Hobson (Fr SHS), Jordan Boyer (So SHS) and Eric Foltz (Jr NHS) each added a goal of their own. Justin Panarello (Sr WHS) assisted Boyer on his goal.

The Metro Lady Rage (1-0-1) will host Woodlan High School at 10am this Saturday at the Morrett Sports Complex. The boys team (2-0-0) will play Woodlan at noon.
