The Wabash Lady Apache basketball team won their third game in a row and improved their record to 4-1 with a convincing 70-32 win over Peru Wednesday night.
Wabash wasted no time setting the tone, taking a 22-4 lead after the first quarter. Kaleigh Hensley lead the Apaches with 11 points in the quarter. Kelsey Cromer added 9 points.
Wabash lead 40-14 at half time. Hensley had 20 points, Cromer 13.
Wabash would out score Peru by just one point in the third quarter, 13-12 to take a 53-26 third quarter lead.
The Lady Apaches came out scored Peru 17-6 in the final quarter for a 70-32 win.
Kaleigh Hensley lead Wabash with 30 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assist and 8 steals. Kelsey Cromer had 19 points, connecting on five three pointers out of seven attempts. Cromer had 5 assist and 2 steals. Kyleigh Hampton had 8 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks. Lyndsie Thomas had 7 points. Gabi Nearing had 4 points and 5 rebounds. Marin Hill had 2 points and 2 steals.
Wabash connected on 8 of 15 from three point land and were 14 of 17 from the free throw line. They also had 18 team steals.
