Uggen Being Honored By State Baseball Coaches

Northfield baseball coach Tony Uggen will be receiving two awards from the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association January 21st at the Sheraton At The Crossing Hotel in Indianapolis.

The Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association will present a Victory Club award to Tony Uggen of Northfield High School. The award is given when a coach reaches a Victory plateau starting with 100 varsity wins and then is given each time the coach wins another 100 games. Coach Uggen won his 300th victory during the 2010 season when his team posted a 22-8 record. This was his 17th year of coaching high school baseball.

This recognition will be part of the IHSBCA State Baseball Clinic awards banquet which will also see coaches recognized as State Coach of the Year, District Coach of the Year and the induction of five persons into the Indiana Baseball Hall of Fame.

For the second award The Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association will present a District Coach of the Year to Tony Uggen of Northfield High School. The coaches of this district voted him as their District Coach of the Year following the 2010 season when his team posted a 22-8 record.
