Southwood JV Boys Win Title

The Southwood boys basketball team won the JV title, defeating Wabash 52-23.

The Knights dominated the game from the very start, out scoring Wabash 15-10 in the first quarter. Corey Phillipy had 7 points.

Southwood out scored Wabash 19-5 in the second quarter to take a 34-15 half time lead. Grant Keaffaber scored 7 points in the quarter.

In the third quarter it was 12-6 Southwood. Keaffaber and Ross Phillipy scored 4 points each. southwood lead 46-21 after three.

The final quarter was very low scoring with Southwood winning the quarter 6-2 for the 52-23 final.

The Knights had four players score in double figures. Ross Phillipy had 13 points, Grant Keaffaber and Corey Phillipy 11, Shane Smith 10, Kyle Weaver, Jackson Blair and Cole Wyatt with 2 each and Levi Sutton with 1.

Wabash was lead by Tyler King, Cody Beeks and Mike Jones with 5 points each. Grant Sailors, Devin Bitzel, Andrew Adamson and Taylor Walker all had 2 points each.

The boys JV consolation game was won by Northfield. The Norse defeated Manchester 41-17. No stats were available.
