Manchester’s men’s basketball team picked up an 83-74 conference win at Transylvania on Saturday. Manchester used a 13-2 run early in the game to take a 17-7 lead with 12:36 left in the first half, and used 58 percent shooting from the floor to take a 44-31 lead at the break. MC hit 26-31 free throws in the second half to hang on to an 83-74 win.
Tyler Delauder led MC in scoring with 18 points, hitting 5-8 shots from the floor including 3-5 three-pointers and 4-6 free throws. Nathan Ferch was 3-5 from the field and 7-8 from the free throw line for 14 points, adding five rebounds, three assists and a steal to his stats. Tyler Henn added 13 points and four rebounds, while Joordan Moss added 12 points and five rebounds, and Joel Sovine scored 10 points for the Spartans.
Manchester improves to 10-5 overall, 6-2 in the HCAC. They travel to conference rival Anderson University starting at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
