The Manchester Lady Squires played exactly the game they were looking for Saturday before going in to next week’s sectional. Manchester absolutely dominated South Adams 67-31 in their last regular season game.
Manchester put the game away early with Erika Milam and Kayla Flack dominating inside and Meika Kennedy and Kaylee Watson firing bulls eyes from the out side. Kennedy connected on two three pointers in the quarter and Watson had one. Kennedy, Milam and Flack had 7 points each in the quarter, Watson had 5. The Squire defense was solid, giving up just 3 points and Manchester was running away early 26-3.
Manchester would cruise the rest of the game with the offense clicking and the defense being stingy, out scoring South Adams 14-6, 14-6 and being out scored 16-13 in the fourth when the out come was obvious.
The Lady Squires shot 63.4% from the field. 83.3% from three point range and 71.4% from the free throw line.
Leading the Lady Squires was Kayla Flack with 18 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assist and 4 steals. Erika Milam and Kaylee Watson had 11 points each. Milam had 3 assist and 5 steals. Watson had 3 assist and 4 steals. Meika Kennedy had 10 points, 1 assist and 4 steals, plus 3 for 3 from 3 point land. Hannah Little, Kalene Freshour and Malyssa Bedke had 4 points each. Little had 9 rebounds and 4 steals. Freshour had 1 assist and 1 steal. Bedke had 1 rebound. Bekah Brunn had 3 points, 3 rebounds and 1 block. Jentri Cripe had 2 points, 2 rebounds and 1 steal. Katie Underwood had 3 rebounds.
