Thursday June 2nd saw what we are all hoping is a trend for the rest of the summer, Sunny skies, dry fairways and roughs, and carts off the paths. Needless to say it was a beautiful day and the Seniors enjoyed every minute of the competition. Winning the scramble event with a score of 34, was the team of Tim Kreider, Ross Trump, Jack Love, and Tom Oldenkamp. Finishing in second place one shot back of the winners were Bill Kingery, Bill Ruppel, Dick White, and Gene Nimmo with a 35. Finishing out the top teams was the third place finishers of Lee Richards, Chuck Ravenscroft, Dean Gifford, and Devon Wilson producing a score of 36. Our special event winners were Dick White who hit it with in six feet for the Closest to the Hole on #3 for the under 70 group and in the same category Bill Ruppel made a 20 foot putt for the longest putt made on hole #5. Closing out the awards were Jack Love with the closest to the hole on #7 and Devon Wilson with the longest putt on Hole #9. Congratulations to all of our competitors and winners for the day at Honeywell Golf Course. Next week the Seniors will again play at 9am and will be playing the picturesque back nine.
