Dale Signs With Huntington University

2011 Southwood High School graduate Devin Dale has signed his national letter of intent with Huntington University to play golf.

When asked why he chose Huntington University Dale quoted ” They have a very good golf program and team, going to nationals last year.”

During his high school career Dale had the second best scoring average in Southwood history at 38.85 per 9 holes, just behind 1974 grad Jim Sears at 38.45.

Dale was the Knights MVP the last two years and 4 time all conference in the TRC. He was the 2011 Mental Attitude winner, voted on by his teammates. Dale finished 2nd in the conference meet, along with 2nd at the Brookwood and Eastbrook Invites.

Dale will be playing in the Indiana state open July 11-15 in Bristol,  by firing a 74 at Rozella Ford golf course in the state qualifier.

Devin will be studying Sport & Exercise Science while at Huntington to become a personal trainer.
