Lady Apache Golf Gets Underway

The Wabash Lady Apache varsity golf team showed an improved effort as they tied for fourth place at the Caston Invitational held at Pondview Golf Course on Wednesday.  In the shortened nine-hole tournament, junior Katie Smith earned a third-place individual medal with her 42.  Sophomore Jordan Rauh again followed with a 52.  Also contributing for the team were freshman Caprial Conner (66) and sophomore Jaclyn Lewis (72).  The team is in action on Thursday as they travel to Sycamore Golf Course to take part in a dual match with host Manchester.  Tee times start at 10:00am.

The Wabash girls golf team struggled in its 2011 debut at Peru Municipal Golf Course on Tuesday.  The Lady Apaches were defeated by host Peru 247-253.  Junior Katie Smith earned medalist honors with her five-over-par 42.  Sophomore Jordan Rauh followed with a 56.  Rounding out the scoring were freshman Caprial Conner (76) and sophomore Jaclyn Lewis (79).
