The Metro Rage boys team opened their season last night with a 4-1 win over the East Central Strikers from Muncie. Chad Glasscock (NHS)opened the scoring at the 6 minute mark of the first half with an unassisted goal but East Central countered with a goal of their own at the 25 minute mark. Houston Miller (NHS) added the winning goal for the Rage at the 33rd minute of the first half.
Zach Hobson (SHS) scored on an assist from Glasscock a little over 2 minutes into the second half and Glasscock added the final goal at the 24 minute mark.
Eric Foltz (NHS) had 1 save in goal while Freshman Julian Hobson (WHS) had three saves in goal. The boys play their next game at home on Thursday night against Lakeland Christian.
The Metro Rage Girls played on the road against Grant County United. The Lady Rage lost 4-1 in the varsity game and 1-0 in the JV game. The lone goal of the evening was scored by Cassidy Sausaman (NHS) on an assist by Bailey Al-Khateeb (WHS). Hannah Fadil (SHS) had 18 saves in goal for The Lady Rage on the evening. The girls are off until Saturday, August 27th when they host Woodlan High School.
