Lady Squire Golf Fares Well At Rochester Invite

The Manchester Girls Golf team placed third out of fifteen teams at the Rochester Invitational on Saturday.  Manchester shot a team score of 367 on the very difficult Round Barn Golf Club at Mill Creek in Rochester.  Round Barn Golf Club has numerous water hazards, making it a very demanding golf club.  Lindsey Budnik led the Squires with an 83, placing her in a tie for sixth place overall, narrowly missing a medal by one shot.  Hannah Little placed second on the team with a 93, followed by Katie Durden with a 95, Hannah Lochner with a 96 and Jasmine Whitaker with a 109.
Medalist for the invitational was Mary Shipley of Fairfield, shooting a 75.  Fairfield won the invitational with a score of 345, narrowly edging out host Rochester, who shot 347.  
Manchester plays next on Monday afternoon at Southwood in a three way match with Rochester.

For Southwood  Jessica Pegg paced the Lady Linksters with a 92 and was 12 overall; Madison Rebholz had a 96; Anna Farlow had a 99; Abby Houlihan had a 115 and Courtney Simpson added 118.                                                                                                                                                   For Northfield Keirstan Pinkleton shot her best round of the season with a 117. Lauren Frischman finished with a 127. Emily King shot a 134 for her first round of the season. Megan Frank finished her round with a 158.
