The Northfield varsity football team defeated Triton on Friday by a score of 43 to
20. Despite many first half mistakes and an early 14 to 0 deficit, and a 20 to 14 deficit at the half, the Norse rallied on both sides of the ball to take the lead and eventually pull away from Triton in the second half. The Norse were led on offense by Andy Roser who rushed for 163 yards on 19 carries and 2 touchdowns and Austin Curless, who was 9 for 18 passing for 156 yards, 2 touchdown passes through the air (one to Tanner Chamberlain and one to Joe Frieden), as well as 1 touchdown on the ground.
Seven different Norsemen caught passes in the victory. The defense was led by Hunter Wells who was involved in 9 tackles, 3 of which were for losses, and Joseph Ross, who was involved in 11 tackles. Austin Curless also had three interceptions.
