It was just to much Preston Penrod. The Manchester Squires behind 4 touchdowns, 230yds rushing and over 330 multi-purpose yards from Preston Penrod, defeated Southwood Friday night 32-21.
After Southwood took a 7-6 lead on a Connor Hobbs to Levi Winget TD pass, Penrod ran the kickoff back 73yds for his second touchdown to put Manchester up 13-7 in the first quarter.
In the second quarter Will Adams ran one in and then Hobbs and Winget connected again and the Knights led 21-13 at the half.
Penrod would take over in the third quarter and the second half, scoring twice in the third and then ran one in from 50yds out in the 4th for the 32-21 Squire win.
Cole sellers had a fumble recovery for a touchdown for Manchester.
For Southwood Conner Hobbs had 118 yards passing and two touchdown passes both to Levi Winget. Nathan Hollars had 60 yards rushing. Will Adams had 39 yards rushing and a score. Adams had 8 tackles and Winget had 7. Hollars had a fumble recovery and Winget had a pair of pass interceptions.
