Lady Knight 7&8 Split With Riverview

The Southwood 7th and 8th grade girls basketball teams split with Riverview Monday.

The Southwood 7th Grade Lady Knights continued the strong start to their
season with another convincing 20 point win, this time it was 38-18 over
Huntington Riverview.

The Knights got off to a quick start, leading 16-2 after the first
quarter and 24-6 at the half.

The Knights played a much more controlled game tonight and turned the
ball over just 12 times, while shooting 39% from the field.

One more strong quarter gave the Knights a commanding 36-10 lead after 3
quarters.

The 7th Grade Lady Knights are now 4-0 on the season and host Manchester
in their next game on Thursday, January 19.

Brooke Elliot led with 17 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist. 1 block and 3 steals. Taylor Heath had 11 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 4 steals. Makenna Dawes had 4 points, 4 rebounds and 1 steal. Starr Hullinger had 4 points, 7 rebounds and 1 steal. Erika Ziner had 2 points, 7 rebounds and 1 steal. Ashley Parson had 1 rebound, 2 assist and 1 steal. Mia Hunley had 2 rebounds. Kassidy Attwood had 5 rebounds and 1 steal.

The 8th grade was defeated by Riverview 48-25.
