The Northfield girls basketball team traveled to Eastbrook Tuesday and defeated the host Panthers 50-36 to win their third game in a row and four of the last five.
Still learning to win, the Norse would take care of business, winning all four quarters.
The defense dominated the first quarter and the offense stayed patient, out scoring Eastbrook 12-6 in the first quarter and 14-11 in the second to lead 26-17 at the half.
The second half would be much of the same as the Norse out scored Eastbrook 12-10 in the third and 12-9 in the fourth.
Sidney Reed led with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assist and 3 steals. Katie Stephan had 10 points, 3 assist, 3 steals and 1 block. Sydney Eltzroth had 8 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals. Kylie Echard had 8 points, 1 rebound, 3 steals and 1 block. Arie Kennedy had 4 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assist and 2 steals. Caitlin Eltzroth had 2 points and 1 rebound.
The JV lost to Eastbrook 52-37.
Michelle Hendricks led with 12 points. Cherish Leming and Marlee Stefanatos had 9 points each. Hannah Cole had 5 and Jensen Zumbaugh 2.
