County Has Four Wrestling Sectional Champions

Wabash County was well represented at the Peru wrestling sectional Saturday. The county yielded four individual champions and 21 wrestlers moving on to the Peru regional next Saturday.

Winning individual titles were Tanner Chamberlain of Northfield at 126lbs, Hunter Wells of Northfield at 152lbs, Joseph Ross of Northfield at 195lbs and Aaron Snep of Manchester at 285lbs.

Also moving on are the following for each school. You had to be in the top four of your weight class to move on.


RJ Waldon at 170 and Jared Kirtlan at 138 earned third place finishes while Spencer Miller 160, Kyle Houlihan 182 and Cody Curless 285 lbs placed fourth.  These wrestlers will be heading to the Peru Regional next Saturday.

3rd at 106lbs, Clayton Moore placed 2nd at 120lb, Brennan France placed 4th at 132lbs, Payton Sorg placed 4th at 145lbs and Neil Snep placed 2nd at 182lbs.
