The Southwood 7th and 8th grade girls basketball teams split with Peru Wednesday.
The 7th grade won 46-24 and the 8th grade lost 40-29.
In the 7th grade game the Lady Knights held Peru scoreless in the first quarter and led 18-0 after one. The theme was the same, build an early lead and cruise. The Lady Knights cruised to an 11-0 record.
Brooke Elliott had 16 points and 4 steals. Kassidy Atwood had 14 points and 4 rebounds. Taylor Heath had 8 points. MaKenna Dawes had 4 points and 6 rebounds. Starr Hullinger had 5 rebounds.
The 8th grade lost 40-29 and were out scored by 10 in the second quarter.
Emilie Harnish had 11 points. Ellie LaBonte had 9, Kelly Schmidt 7 and Danielle Pegg 2.
