The lead would change four more times, when Ryan Givens connected to put the Norse up 37-36. After a series of steals by both teams, Keaffaber hit a free throw to put the Norse up 38-36. Oak Hill tied the score with 1:00 remaining and the Norse chose to take the last shot that was to late and the game was headed for overtime.
With 3:42 to go in the overtime, Keaffaber hit one free throw to put the Norse up 39-38 that was quickly erased by an Oak Hill bucket. Ryan Givens would then put the Norse back up 41-40 and was backed up with two Keaffaber free throws and the Norse led 44-40 with 2:38 remaining. With 1:06 to go Oak Hill started to foul and the Norse free throw woes continued. Glasscock missed two and after a Norse kicked ball Oak Hill found the bucket and it was 44-42 with 39.5 left. Oak Hill fouled again with 30.7 left and Dustin Echard converted one free throw and Northfield led 45-42.
