Collin Dawes rbi single in first made it 1-0. Dallas Hovey bases loaded walk in top 7th made it 2-0.
Uggen: “It was a tough loss. Ryan pitched a great game but the walk to the 9 hitter opened the door. None of the hits
were hard but just found there way through. I was happy with how well we played a very good team though.”
Spring Trip Game 2
Tanner Chamberlain and Andy Roser had 1 out singles in first. Both moved up on ground out by Keaffaber and scored
on rbi single down rightfield line by Austin Keen.
Austin took advantage of a dropped pop up with one out that lead to 3 runs (1 earned). No one scored rest of game.
Austin 3 Northfield 2
Uggen: “This was a disappointing loss in that the error on the pop up got them right back in the game and we had a couple
chances with 1 out and a runner on 3rd and each time we struck out. Joseph (Ross) did a great job in relief for us to give
us a chance. We just couldn’t get a run.”

Austin scored 3 runs (2 unearned) in bottom of 7th to make it 10-4 final.
Uggen: “I thought we executed very well offensively in this one. Tanner (Chamberlain) pitched reasonably well and Collin (Dawes)
pitched very well in his 2 stints. With the exception of a poor 7th defensively, I though we played pretty well in this one. We played
a lot of kids today and that tends to weaken you overall but we needed to see some kids on the field. Now that the evaluation period is
over we will start focusing on narrowing it down to the 10-12 kids who give us the best chance at winning games. The rest will become
role players, but we need those kids to stay focused and push the others if we want to improve.”
