Manchester Track Wins Three Way

The Manchester boys and girls track teams defeated Wabash and Rochester Tuesday in the cold blistery conditions.

Girls meet: MHS-69, Rochester-67, Wabash-25

The Manchester throwers controlled the hill. Niki Frieden and Ingrid Penrod went 1-2 in the discus (93’1”) and (68’8”) both pr’s and 2-3 in the shot (29’4”)
and(23’6”).

Manchester also went 1-2 in the 1oo m dash, Lindsey Budnik (13.7)and Maddie
Burton (13.9), again both pr’s.

Manchester took 1-2 in the 400 m dash: Ashley Pratt, Leah Sorg.

*The 4×100 remains undefeated (54.3): Budnik, Burton, Bekah Brunn,
AlexShelton

*Brunn was first in the 100 m hurdles (16.69)

Coach Cassel ”I thought the girls did great job for just coming off Spring Break. We struggled a little with the longerdistances, probably due to the break,
but we are really in a good place for this time of year.”

Boys meet: MHS-74, RHS-54, WHS-39

For Manchester Cole Sellers and Gary Blevins went 1-2in the shot (39’10”) and (37’3”).

Sellers and Dustin Boyd were 1, 3 in the discus (124’6”) and(112’5”).

The Kegan McNeeley, Preston Penrod sprint team picked up1-2 AND pr’s in
both the 100m and 200 m. (11.0, 11.3) (23.0, 23.5). The 4×100 also remains undefeated (McNeeley, Penrod, Jacob Casper, Tom Naragon)

Gunner Ream was first in the long jump with a pr (18’6”).

Matt Fahs-Brown did a tremendous job winning both the 1600m and the 3200
m (4:53) and (10:30).

Both Brodi Carter and Ream pr’d in the 110 m hurdles (16.8,17.4) and
Brodi also pr’d in the high jump (5’10”).

For Wabash :

Girls 1st place.  Kyliegh Hampton    High jump 5’2″
Lindsey Thomas.    300 hurdles.  53.39

2nd place.  Cat Galley.   100 hurdles
Katlyn Vogel. 800 & 1600 run

3rd place.    Galley  300 hurdles
Shai Parrett.   1600 run

Boys 1st place.    Cody Beeks.   400 run & pole vault
Brandon Hunt. 300 hurdles

2nd place.    Davenport. 110 hurdles
Ellis.   Discus
Hamm. Long jump

3rd place.      Hamm. 100 dash
Beeks. Long jump
