The Manchester baseball team managed just five hits all night against Eastern. Fortunately two of those hits came in the bottom of the seventh to rally for a 2-1 win.
Down 1-0 and down to their last out, Justin Lewis laced a two out double. Grant Schuler then drew a walk and was followed by Cody Harlan reaching on an error to load the bases. Payton Sorg then reached on an error by the first baseman, scoring Lewis to tie the game. Caleb Thomas then singled home Schuler for the winning run.
Payton Sorg, Logan Brunn, Caleb Thomas, Jurgin Cripe and Justin Lewis had one hit each. Cripe and Lewis had doubles.
Jim Sainsbury pitched six solid innings for the Squires. Connor McLaughlin got the win in relief.
