The Manchester baseball team traveled to Eastbrook Tuesday to take battle with the host Panthers.
It was a tight ballgame after three innings, as Eastbrook led just 2-1. Down 1-0 in top of the third Payton Sorg doubled and was singled in by Jim Sainsbury to knot the score.
The Squires would give up three runs in the fourth to go down 6-1 before responding in the fifth. Caleb Thomas singled and Logan Brunn was hit by a pitch before Connor McLaughlin singled home a run. The Squires would score twice and trailed 6-3 before giving up two runs in the bottom of the inning.
Eastbrook would hold the Squires scoreless the rest of the game, giving up singles to McLaughlin and Thomas, while tacking on four more runs in the sixth for the 11-3 final.
Connor McLaughlin had 3 hits and 1rbi. Caleb Thomas had 2 hits. Jim Sainsbury had 1 hit and 1 rbi. Cody Harlan, Jurgin Cripe and Payton Sorg had 1 hit each.
