Lady Knights Stub Their Toe

The Southwood girls softball team stubbed their toe Tuesday to the hands of Eastbrook, falling to the Panthers 14-1.

It was looking as though it might be a pitchers dual for half the game as neither team had scored the first three innings. The Eastbrook bats would get hot, scoring 14 runs the next three innings and pounding out 14 hits for the game while they held the Lady Knights at bay.

Southwood collected just two hits, one from Sarah White and one from Logan Hensley, both singles. Meranda Friend scored the lone Southwood run.
