Dekalb Takes Two From Squires

The Manchester baseball team lost a pair of games Saturday to Dekalb, falling in game one 10-1 and game two 8-1.

In game one freshman Evan Milam made his first varsity start on the mound, pitching 6 innings, allowing 7 earned runs and 8 hits. Dellynn Benton pitched one inning of relief, allowing 1 hit and 1 run.

Connor Mclaughlin, Jurgin Cripe, Thad Miller and Brandon Scott had 1 hit each. Scott had 1 rbi.


In game two sophomore Dellynn Benton got his first varsity start on the mound, allowing 8 runs(4E).

Noah Johnson pitched three innings of relief.

Payton Sorg had 1 hit and 1 rbi. Connor McLaughlin and Caleb Thomas had two hits each. Logan Brunn had a hit.

Coach Rupley ” Had to throw some young kids today and they did ok against a good Dekalb team.”
