Bayliss Pinch Hit Home Run Lifts Apaches

The Wabash Apache baseball team got a huge 7th inning pinch hit home run from Colt Bayliss Monday to edge Tippecanoe Valley 4-3.

Down 2-0 heading to the third, Wabash got back to back rbi singles from Landon Cole and Andrew Shepherd to knot the game at 2. Valley would answer in the bottom of the inning to lead 3-2 after three.

The Apaches struggled at the plate in the middle innings, but pitcher Jordan Floor kept Valley at bay, giving Wabash a shot in the 7th. With a runner on, Bayliss blasted a two run shot that gave Wabash their first lead of the game, 4-3. Floor would mow the Vikings down in order in the bottom of the 7th for the complete game win.
