The following summer athletic camps will be offered at Manchester High School. Camp registrations can be picked up at the Manchester High School office.
Girls’ basketball camp for students in grades 1-8 is set for June 11-14 from 1-4 p.m. under the direction of Mark Underwood with assistance from the MJSHS girls basketball staff and the high school players. The cost of the camp per student will be $35.00, which will include a t-shirt, camp ball, and treats.
Boys’ basketball camp for students in grades K-8 is set for June 18-22. K-2 from 12:30-1:30, grades 3-5 from 1:30-3:00, and grades 6-8 from 3:00-4:30 pm. The camp will be under the direction of Eric Thompson with assistance from the MJSHS boys’ basketball staff and the high school players. The camp will cost $10 or $20 dollars for camp and a ball, or $30 dollars for camp, ball, and t-shirt.
Football camp for students in grades 3-8, will be held on June 25-28 from 6-7:30pm on the high school practice fields. The camp will be under the direction of Brandon Baker, MHS varsity football coach with assistance from MJSHS football staff and varsity football players. The cost per camper is $20.00 and will include a camp T-shirt.
Boys‘ and girls’ soccer camp for students in grades 1-8 and will be held June 4-7 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. at Good Field. The camp will be under the direction of Dave McKee, boys’ soccer coach and Jacqui Ferguson girls’ soccer coach as well as the MHS boys’ and girls’ soccer players. There will be a cost of $25.00 per camper. The camp cost includes a t-shirt.
Volleyball camp is for students in grades 5-8 and will be held on June 19-21 from 9:00 am to 11:30 am in the MHS Gym. The camp will be under the direction of Sarah Lochner, MHS varsity volleyball coach with assistance from MJSHS assistants, and varsity volleyball players. The cost per camper is $30.00 for camp T-shirt and challenge prizes.
Boys’ and girls’ tennis lessons for students in grades K-12 is set for June 4-6, June 11-13, and 19-21 from 9-noon on the MHS Tennis Courts (College courts may need to be used if MHS courts are being redone). The camp will be under the direction of Joel Eichenauer. Fees are based on the level of the player and duration of the session.
Girls Golf for students in grades 6-12 will be held on Thursday’s in June (7, 14, 21, 28) from 6:00-8:00 pm at Sycamore golf course. Head Coach Pat Brandenburg will instruct with the help of Sycamore pro Todd Sandlow. Cost will be $50.00 per camper for the four nights of instruction.
