Squire Baseball Falls To Rochester

The Manchester baseball team traveled to Rochester Wednesday and fell to the host Zebras 9-4.

Payton Sorg started the game with a double and was moved over to third with a sac bunt from Caleb Thomas. One batter later Conno McLaughlin drove Sorg home with a grounder and the Squires led 1-0.

Rochester would then go an a 9-0 run, scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the first, 2 in the second and 4 in the fourth to lead the Squires 9-1.

Manchester would get a run in the fifth with McLaughlin driving in his second run, then score 2 in the seventh before running out of outs and falling 9-4.

Payton Sorg and Jurgin Cripe had 3 hits each. Logan Brunn and Grant Schuler had 1 hit each. Connor McLaughlin had 2 rbi’s.

The Squires play Saturday in the Luers tourney
