Uggen: “We were a little flat early but give (Jordan) Hilyard credit. He got the lead-off out all 5 innings he pitched which made it tough for us to manufacture any runs. We were able to get the lead-off man on against (Nick) Huffine who threw much harder and, as a result, we scored on him both innings. They were a pretty good hitting team and they took advantage of the 2 walks and 2 hit batters in the 3rd to get a big lead. Ryan (Keaffaber) hit the ball really well but that was about it. Still, we had the tying run on deck in 7th so we battled.
Next game: vs Wabash at sectional on Thursday at 5pm.
