The Southwood boys basketball team fell to 4A Huntington North Friday night 64-49.
The Knights kept in striking distance in the first half as they trailed 14-8 after one and 30-21 at the half.
Huntington widened the gap in the third quarter, out scoring Southwood 18-11 before the Knights won the fourth quarter 17-16.
Leading the scoring was Jackson Blair with 18 points. Corey Phillipy added 14, Levi Sutton 8. Shane Smith and Corey Phillipy had 6 rebounds each, with Levi Sutton adding 5. Sutton also had 3 assist.
Huntington won the junior varsity game 48-37.
Luke Elliott led with 13 points, 11 rebounds. Alex Harmon had 8 points, Dolph Struck 6, Logan Paris 5. Paris had 3 steals and Struck added 2. Noah Kirk had 4 steals.
Huntington won the freshman game 54-22.
Brandin Frazier led with 7 points, 8 rebounds. Clay Hinrichsen added 6 points.
