After being delayed for a day because of weather, the Northfield boys basketball team traveled to play in the Caston Shoot Out Friday. The Norse took on Lowell and after a slow start fell 54-41.
Lowell jumped on Northfield early, out scoring the Norse 14-6 in the first quarter and 19-12 in the second to lead 33-18 at the half.
Northfield would out score Lowell 23-21 in the second half, but the early hole was to much to climb out of.
Ryan Keaffaber led the Norse with 9 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assist, 3 steals. Collin Dawes had 7 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assist, 1 steal. Marcus Kroh had 7 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals. Carter Frieden had 6 points, 3 rebounds. Adam Roser had 6 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assist. Tanner Wilcox had 4 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist. Jon Richardson had 2 points.
The Norse play at 11:30 & 6:00 Saturday at Caston
The junior varsity fell 23-21 in double overtime.
