The Northfield boys basketball team traveled to Akron Friday, playing the first of four straight road games to take on Tippecanoe Valley. In a place that is hard to win the Norse fell to the host Vikings 63-43.
Valley would out score Northfield in every quarter, leading 15-9 after one and 27-16 at the half.
With Northfield shooting just 35% from the field, including 25% from three point range, the Vikings would increase their lead to 44-25 after three on their way to the 63-43 win.
Leading the Norse was Ryan Keaffaber with 12 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assist, 3 steals. Tanner Wilcox added 11 points, 8 rebounds, 1 steal. Jon Richardson had 8 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals. Collin Dawes had 6 points, 1 assist, 2 steals. Adam Roser had 3 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist. Noah Shear had 2 points, 1 assist, 1 steal. Marcus Kroh had 1 point, 3 rebounds, 1 steal.
The junior varsity fell to Valley 21-19.
