Freshman Chase Fierstos had a game to remember Friday, hitting five three pointers and scoring 27 points to lead the Manchester boys basketball to a convincing 56-42 win over North Miami Friday.
A fast start and a huge first quarter would give the Squires the lift they needed and silence the North Miami crowd as Manchester raced out to a 10-0 lead to start the game. Freshman Chase Fierstos was unconciuos from behind the arch, draining three triples and scoring 11 points to ignite the fire. Team mate Clayton Petrie also hit a couple buckets as the one-two punch led the Squires to a 19-1 first quarter lead.
North Miami would start the second quarter on a 10-2 run to cut the lead to 21-10 before Fierstos went to work again. The freshman scored 7 of the Squires 9 points, hitting his fourth three pointer and Manchester led 28-17 at the half.
Claudell Dickantone would get in on the act in the third quarter, hitting a three and led a trio of Squires with 6 points. Clayton Petrie chipped in 4 and Fierstos 2 as the Squires out scored the Warriors 12-7 in the third to stretch their lead to 40-24 after three.
The Squires have been in many games this year until the fourth quarter when youth and inexperiance would show its face. The face that was shown Friday was hitting 10 of 13 free throws as the Warriors fouled to try and catch up. Fierstos and Petrie would hit from behind the arch one more time each to secure their first TRC win and second of the year.
The Squires had just four players in the scoring column.

The junior varsity defeated North Miami 39-22.
