The Northfield boys basketball team traveled to North Miami Friday to take on the Warriors, beating up on the host 62-37.
Northfield got off to a good start on the road, out scoring North Miami 18-7 in the first quarter before North Miami gathered themselves in the second quarter to close the gap to 30-23 at the half.
The Norse regrouped at the half and came out and dominated the second half, out scoring the Warriors 19-10 in the third quarter and 13-4 in the fourth for the lobsided score.
Leading Northfield was Ryan Keaffaber with 23 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assist, 3 steals. Collin Dawes added 16 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assist, 3 steals. Noah Shear had 9 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assist. 2 steals. Marcus Kroh had 7 points, 3 rebounds. Tanner Wilcox had 7 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assist, 1 steal. Caleb Coe had 2 points. Jon Richardson had 1 point, 2 rebounds. Carter Frieden had 1 assist, 1 steal.
The Norse shot a blistering 57.1% from two point range and 50% from three.
The junior varsity defeated North Miami 41-19.

In the first game, Jacob Schuler lead the Norse freshman boys to a 32-17 victory against North Miami with 12 points. Brayden Schindler and Drake Richter both added 5 points. Dylan Brown and Taylor Poole had outstanding defensive.
