The Northfield Lady Norse basketball team used a balanced scoring attack and a big run to win their sixth game in a row and raise their season record to 12-3 with a 59-34 win over North Miami Saturday.
Using full court pressure and some hot shooting the Norse all but buried the Warriors in the first quarter. With the game tied at 4 the Lady Norse would go on a 16-0 run to build a 20-4 lead after one. The Norse spread the wealth as they had four different players score in the quarter.

Northfield couldn’t find the bucket as North Miami would score the first 10 points of the quarter to cut the lead to 20-14 before Katie Stephan stopped the bleeding with a three pointer. The Norse would hit just two more buckets in the quarter and led 27-20 at the half.
Northfield would pick up the tempo in the third and find their mojo again, holding North Miami to 5 points while scoring 16, which included a three pointer from Arie Kennedy at the buzzer to open a 43-25 lead with a quarter to go.
Northfield would not slow down in the fourth as they again put up 16 points while holding North Miami to single digits of 9 points to cruise to the 59-34 win.
