The Southwood boys varsity basketball team fell to Rochester 54-44 Friday to fall to 8-5 on the season.
In a game that was up for grabs the first three quarters, some Zebra home cooking in the fourth was to much for the Knights.
Rochester led 12-9 after one before the Knights doubled up on the Zebras in the second, out scoring the host 14-7 to lead 23-19 at the half.
Rochester would come back in the third to out score Southwood 15-12, but the Knights still led the tight battle 35-34 with a quarter to go.
Rochester would then go wild in the fourth, out scoring the Knights 20-9 for the 54-44 final.
Leading the Knights was Levi Sutton with 11 points, 4 assist, 5 steals. Corey Phillipy had 10 points, 7 rebounds. Shane Smith had 10 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assist. Robbie Cole had 3 assist, 3 steasl. Nathan Hollars had 2 steals.
The junior varsity fell to Rochester 44-39.
Alex Harmon led the Knights in scoring with 18 points, 4 rebounds. Noah Kirk had 11 points, 2 assist. Luke Elliott had 4 points, 3 rebounds. Jacob Lloyd had 5 rebounds, 2 assist, 4 steals. Dolph Struck had 4 steals.
