Apaches Bounce Back Against Caston

One night after a disappointing loss to Tippecanoe Valley the Wabash boys basketball team bounced back to top Caston 58-56 Saturday.

The Apaches trailed Caston 18-10 after the first quarter and 22-21 at the half.

Wabash trailed 38-34 after three and had the game tied at 47 with 3:01 to play. With .55 left the score was knotted at 54 and with .16 left Breyton Nealis got a steal for a layup with to give Wabash a 56-54 lead to pull out the 58-56 win.

Leading Wabash was Breyton Nealis with 16 points, 1 rebound, 4 assist, 2 steals, 4 blocks. Andrew Adamson had 11 points, 2 assist, 1 steal. Tyler Brewer had 9 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 5 steals. Grant Sailors had 8 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal. Tyler King had 7 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal. Taylor Vigar had 7 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 2 steals. Kodi Clemons had 1 rebound. Jordan Blair had 3 rebounds. Mike Jones had 3 rebounds.

The junior varsity topped Caston 57-46.

Christian Hall led with 29 points. Kody King added 13, Chase Dirig 6.

Kody King led with 6 rebounds.

The Wabash JV boys record is now 10-5 on the year.
