On June 9th the Summit City Sluggers will be hosting the 3rd annual Slugger’s Day at Homier Park in Huntington, Indiana. As part of our program’s mission to impact lives both within and outside of baseball, we are once again partnering with the Vera Bradley Foundation in hopes of promoting awareness to Breast Cancer Research. During this event, large crowds will be entertained by many games throughout the day. In addition to the games, there will be several raffles and promotional activities as well as special recognition of all breast cancer survivors who attend.
All the Slugger players wear a pink jersey and the survivors are recognized. Last year Sara Cole threw out the 1st pitch of the 17/18 yr old game.
Several Wabash county players from all four schools play on a Sluggers team.
