Norse JH Track

Northfield Junior High boys and girls track lost their home opener to Wabash and Maconaquah last night.  Strong performances were put in by Jacklyn Peas who gathered firsts in 100 and 200 hurdles and 200 dash; Jackson Beery who got firsts in 100, 200, and 400; Chris Orpurt with firsts in shot and discus; Rachel Orpurt with firsts in the 100 and 200; Macauley Miller with firsts in the 100 hurdles, 100 dash and long jump; and Kyle Reed with a first in 200 hurdles. The 7th grade boys and girls 4 x 100 relay teams also gathered firsts. Overall, it was a great start to the season. Northfield will compete in a rescheduled meet at Southwood on Wednesday.


            7th grade girls: Wabash 53; Maconaquah 47; Northfield 33

            7th grade boys: Wabash 81.5; Northfield 38.5; Maconaquah 17

            8th grade girls: Maconaquah 62; Wabash 38.5; Northfield 28.5

            8th grade boys: Maconaquah 61; Wabash 40; Northfield 34
