Knights Fall On The Road

The Southwood varsity baseball team went on the road to take on Maconaquah Monday, falling to the Braves 5-3.

The Knights took a 1-0 lead in the top of the 2nd, but then gave up runs in four consecutive innings before scoring 2 in the 7th for the 5-3 final.

On the mound, Jackson Blair went 3 2/3 innings, striking out 4, walking 5 and giving up 4 hits. Clay Hinrichsen went 3 1/3, striking out 3, walking 4 and giving up 3 hits.

Jackson Blair was 1 for 3 with 1R, 1BB, 2SB. Jacob Lloyd was 0 for 2, 1R, 1SB, 1HBP. Nathan Hollars was 1 for 3 with 1-2B, 1R, 1SB. Luke Elliott was 1 for 3 with 1SB, 1BB. Colin Gouveia was 1 for 3 with 1 RBI.

In junior varsity action, Maconaquah downed the Knights 14-5.

Christian Deeter was 1 for 4 with a home run. Dustin Curless was 2 for 3. Johnathon Collins was 1 for 4.
