The Wabash varsity baseball team fell to Rochester Thursday 5-4. The Apaches are now 5-2, 0-1 on the season.
The Apaches led 4-3 heading into the bottom of the 6th but Rochester scored one in the 6th and again in the 7th to pick up the win.
Kyle Kelsheimer, Grant Sailors, Isiah Smith, Landon Cole, Justin Holley and Shea Beauchamp had hits. Cole and Beauchamp each had a double.
Roger Davis took the loss on the mound, going 7 innings, allowing 9 hits while striking out 4 and walking 3.

The varsity baseball game with Marion on Friday at 5:30 will be free for all fans. This will be the fourth attempt at playing the game because if weather conditions. Come out and support the Apaches and use the money you save to buy some delicious items from the concession stand

The Wabash boys’ golf team evened their dual match record at 3-3 with a 176-233 defeat of host Southern Wells at Dogwood Glen Golf Course in Warren on Thursday. Junior Parker Harner broke through with a season-low 42 that was good for medalist honors for the day. Senior Jack Stein and junior Jordan Blair each followed with a 44. Jack Leland’s 46 rounded out the scoring for the team. The Wabash varsity golf team is in action next Tuesday as they travel to Rozella Ford Golf Course in Warsaw to take part in the Joe Harris Invite hosted by Warsaw High School. Tee times begin at 4:15pm.
