Northfield competed in the Rochester Invitational Saturday at The Round Barn. The team started strong on the first nine, and put themselves in position for a really good finish. Unfortunately, the second nine did not go as well.
Columbus North won the Invite with a team score of 323. The Norse finished 11th out of 15 teams with a score of 380. Leading the team was Braydon Schindler with a 87. He was followed by Trae Cole 91. Andrew Eckerly 99, and Taylor Poole 101.
Coach Terrell “It was our first 18 hole tournament, and I think the boys lost focus on the second nine. Its something we can work on for future contests”
Northfield next match is Tuesday 4/30 hosting Manchester and Whitko at Honeywell GC.
