The Manchester Lady Squire softball team went on the road Monday, traveling to Tippecanoe Valley and putting up 17 runs on the host in a 17-5 five inning game.
Manchester scored the first four innings which included a 12 run out burst in the fourth to lead 17-0 before giving up 5 runs in the fifth.
The Lady Squires pounded out 17 hits and had 16 rbi’s to get the 17 runs. Kalene Freshour, Nina Smith, Kayla Flack and Mariah Mobley each had 3 hits, with Freshour hitting two triples and Mobley a triple.
Sydney Jordan collected 2 hits, while Chloe Leifer, Claire McLaughlin and Tabby Dewitt each had a hit.
Sydney Jordan picked up the win on the mound, pitching 5 innings while giving up 4 hits and striking out 6.
